Pur-Sang is the duo of Claire Joseph and Skye: a cinematic, poetic folk born between the plains, the swamps of the American South and the rivers of North America. Music that ranges across wide-open spaces, moves to the beat of the human heart, and is lived in motion, straight ahead.
From France to the United States, their road is paved with encounters. In Mobile, Alabama, they shaped their sound with producer Rick Hirsch (Bonnie Raitt, Greg Allman). On stage they have shared the bill with Delgrès, Larkin Poe, the Tedeschi Trucks Band, The Lost Bayou Ramblers, Beverly Jo Scott, Texas, Sanseverino, Tété and Louis Bertignac. Their album 'Chaos Sublime' earned Éric Jean-Jean's Coup de Cœur on RTL and RTL2.
Highly sought-after for scoring films and documentaries, they wrote the soundtrack for the feature film 'My Heroine' (Noémie Lefort · Universal Pictures, Netflix Top 10 in 2024) and the documentary 'La Banlieue c'est le Paradis' (France 2, 2025), and are scoring the feature 'The Otter Club'. With Cézame Music Agency and Frédéric Leibovitz, they unveil their new album 'On The Gravel Road' (2026) — their boldest, most personal work yet, a call to wander toward the light.
