Voicing his blues with force and optimism.
Born in Évreux in December 1997, Paul Dalobo grew up surrounded by music: the trombone at age 7, then guitar and percussion, and his first songs at 12, written in English. Inspired by The Beatles and The White Stripes, he first turned to rap in Strasbourg before returning to his earliest loves, pop and singing, which shape the artist he is today.
Both lyricist and composer, he writes everything himself, with a sincere and resolutely eclectic approach. His inspiration blends the garage spirit of Jack White, the songwriting of Michel Berger, and the pop of Pharrell Williams and Alex Turner, shot through with bossa nova and electro textures. Every lyric is finely crafted to weave into the others and tell a story that unfolds from one project to the next.
On his 25th birthday, in December 2022, he decided to devote his life to music. In May 2024, he released his debut EP, « Pourquoi t'es si triste ? »: 7 tracks, 7 fully filmed vignettes, conceived as a kind of therapy in which he questions his doubts to set himself free from them. Now joined on stage by his band, he is recording a second EP, « Le Bouquet ».
