01Biography

A vintage voice, a rock soul.

A voice both smooth and powerful, a journey through soul, blues and rock & roll.

A spellbinding voice and a magnetic stage presence, Haylen blends soul, rock and blues with an energy that is hers alone. As a teenager, she learned guitar on the Place des Innocents in Paris, fed on Nirvana, Incubus and System of a Down, before making her name in the metro, the squats and the underground scene as a rhythm guitarist with a warm, deep tone.

Discovering Amy Winehouse opened her up to soul, jazz and the vintage sound of the '50s and '60s, from Etta James to Sam Cooke. Nearly 300 shows later, between London and France, she left her mark on the "Les Femmes s'en mêlent" and "Scènes Flottantes" festivals, became a live ambassador for Jack Daniel's, then turned The Voice on its head in 2016, where all four coaches spun around from the very first notes.

A lead role in the rock opera "Le Rouge et le Noir" co-written by Zazie, the critically acclaimed EP "Out of Line", a place in Jean-Paul Gaultier's "Fashion Freak Show" troupe, lead performer at the Crazy Horse: Haylen moves from one stage to the next. Her album "Blue Wine" (2023), recorded on period microphones, earned her first prize at the Cahors Blues Festival that same year.
