RAM DAM · 50 years on the road · Worked with Gainsbourg
French rock
French rock as a way of seeing the world: honest, untamed, free.
The legendary band Bijou is celebrating its fiftieth anniversary. Now reformed as a trio under the name Bijou Dauga, it revolves around Philippe Dauga — bassist, singer and songwriter, a founding member who has kept the band's flame alive on record and on stage for decades, with a passion that has never dimmed.
By his side, guitarist Pat Llaberia steps into the shoes of the iconic Vincent Palmer. Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders once wrote of him in her autobiography: the kind of guitarist you come across only once a decade. With drummer Nico Tanda completing the line-up, the adventure rolls on, true to the spirit of a band that worked with Gainsbourg in its earliest days.
The new album RAM DAM — raw, rock and pop in equal measure — revives a sense of spontaneity and freedom. The songs, catchy yet finely crafted, invite you back to a little common sense and an honest reading of life. Two music videos were shot amid the wild landscapes of the Aubrac. See them live while you can.
